T'kel (Torkel)Name Pronounced: ta kel (tour kel) Appearance: T’kel is truth one who has managed to survive despite the odds. Despite his turns he is still a well built and strong man with wide shoulders and a strong form to him. Whatever colour his hair was at birth his last turns have seen it grey with his age though he still keeps it to his neck. His eyes are the only thing that connect him to his half-brother any more matching the blue colour of K’ref’s. He wasn’t born with much of a tan and living first at Highreaches than at Fort has not done a thing for any sort of tan keeping him on the paler side not that he tries. Any time he spends too much time in the sun he ends up burnt never even trying to tan no matter how much or little time he spends. Personality: T’kel isn’t very much like his older half-brother at all. He would rather not read any more than he has to and is in truth a good little blue. Even before he impressed he had no real interest in leading, his father was a bluerider and his mother a staffer he had no business leading so why put out the effort when it wasn’t his place? No he would much rather spend that time flirting, lounging around, or even say playing cards and leave all that to others. That’s not to say that T’kel is lazy more just that he would rather do what he needs to, do it well, and then forget about it after all he still remember the times before Thread returned and he wants to hold onto what he can of that feeling when he can. History: Torkel was born to bluerider T’rif and drudge Kelti forty one turns before the start of the eighth pass ten days into the fourth month in High Reaches Weyr. He met his half-brother Kerref during their turns in the crèche and even then he knew that he wasn’t much like the older male. Sure he was proud of his Da, but unlike the older boy he didn’t go around talking about it instead preferring to only bother with such things when he needed to which usually meant if a ‘lower’ ranked brat tried to bother him. Sure he wasn’t stuck up but he is a rider born and he used it when he needed to. Information about T'kel (Torkel)'s dragon Dragon Name: Galith Colour: Blue Age: 57 Wing (Weyrling Group): Firedance Appearance: Long and gangly are the two best words to describe Gallith. He is long limbed and his movements on the ground even more awkward than is ‘normal’ for a dragon his movements are almost a bit creepy especially in the dark the way he seems to ‘creep’ or ‘slink’ along it just doesn’t seem at all right. It is only made worse by how fast he can move if he really wants to, though it is only for short bursts only the ground. He is far from muscled and instead seems to always be suffering from lack of food though after numerous checks by various DragonHealers and golds it has been decided that he eats properly he is just overly boney making it so his spine, knees, elbows, and toes are all just more easily visible. His hide is a blue that causes as many looks as his boneyness being a sort of grey steel~y blue colour that doesn’t particularly go very far in helping him look healthy. The only real oddity in his hide is a ‘ring’ on his right claw around one of his fingers of a darker almost midnight blue making it rather obvious. Personality: Gallith is a bit of an obsessive or maybe possessive thing. To this day he still has as many shards of his egg as T’kel could find and he keeps them beside his wallow when he sleeps, beware to any who try to take or even touch them though for he will hiss and summon T’kel to ‘protect his precious shards’. He trusts none any more aside from his rider and even T’kel at times isn’t safe from his suspicions if say they are running late to a drill because of a misplace glove Gallith has been known to say T’kel did it on purpose. That isn’t to say that he doesn’t love T’kel for how could he not, but he is just more aware than most dragons that if he wanted to his rider could hide things from him. It is this trait that has caused him to not have many friends among his fellow dragons either as he has been known to do the same to them. To those who can get past this rather unfortunate trait and gain his trust he really does want to be friends he just isn’t the best at trusting sadly. Weyr of Origin: High Reaches Abilites and weaknesses: Gallith is a speedy thing both in the air and on land his turns are tight and controlled well. He can’t maintain a long steady flame, but he is rather good at control bursts and making his store last so T’kel doesn’t need to refill very much.
